WINE TASTING IN GUADALUPE VALLEY
My girlfriend and I signed up for a one-day tour on Sunday, December 8, 2019, with Baja California Wine Tours, San Diego. We met our very capable and professional guide and owner of the company, Mario, at the Old Town Trolley stop, at 9 am. The tour took us across the border and down the very picturesque coastal route to the Guadalupe Valley. We experienced three first-rate wineries, a delicious lunch at a winery, a stop at a cheese store, and scenic stops along the way. Mario ensured that we had a memorable and pleasant experience at a comfortable pace. Baja California Wine Tours is the only way to go with a guide who knows where all the hidden gems are located. Mario had us back to the Old Town Trolley stop around 8 pm. The trip exceeded our expectations and we look forward to doing it again‼️

Valle de Guadalupe Visit.
We booked a wine tasting tour with Baja California Wine Tours because our concierge at our hotel spoke very highly of Mario and his company. They were right! Mario is an amazing guide and he gives a triple AAA, six star type of tour. We started at 9 am and we were joined by another five passengers. Everyone very friendly! We headed to Valle de Guadalupe via Ensenada. We visited three boutique wineries where we were able to meet the owners and wine makers and got an explanation of the wine making process. The red wines are as good (or even better) than those in Napa, specially the Granache! For lunch we went to "La Esperanza" which specializes in BajaMed food and they have the best octopus ever!! The tour was fantastic and the attention to detail by Mario was what I liked the most. Mario stayed on top of things and took care of the needs of every single person in the group. One lady needed a vegan menu and Mario attended to her needs without hesitation. The van was clean and new and very comfortable. I'm glad we listened to our concierge and for sure we'll be booking again with Baja California Wine Tours. Do not go with any other company, Mario is the best at what he does!

What a great trip to Mexico!
Not long ago we hired Mario from Baja California Wine Tours to go on a two day stay to Valle de Guadalupe. We were so pleased with the service and the whole tour that we wanted to come back and take another tour with Mario but this time to Ensenada and La Bufadora. For this tour we went on a single day trip but it was as nice and fulfilling as our first tour. Mario picked our group of six from our home, because it was a private tour, and headed south along the Pacific towards Ensenada. In Ensenada we visited Hussong's Cantina for tequila tastings, Calle Primera for shopping and the board walk. We also had delicious fish tacos and ceviche tostadas at the fish market. Then we went to a chocolate factory before heading out to see La Bufadora (natural blowhole). It was a smooth 30 minute drive in a new 15 passenger van with air conditioning and plenty of legroom. At la Bufadora we saw the geyser like cave spitting water up to the sky. Very impresive!! We also enjoyed more tacos and craft beer from Ensenada. The whole day was amaizing thanks to Mario. He is knowledgable about the area and history of his country. He is also a very relaxed guy and never rushes you during each activity. He is by far the best guide I have ever met. Highly recommend his company and his tours!!

Mario is the Best Tour Guide!!
Mario is the best tour guide and his company, Baja California Wine Tours, is the most reliable out there (not to mention really good price). I have done tours with Mario before and he never disappoints! He is funny, friendly and most importantly experienced. This time, Mario took us around Tijuana, Rosarito and Puerto Nuevo. We went to places you would never find or know they existed unless you are a local. And that is what makes Mario's tours better than other companies. Mario is from Mexico, born and raced, he knows the local restaurants, bars, museum and places that are not just for tourist but rather for local T.J. people. We visited the local market, went to the Cultural Museum, had tequila and beer tastings at Revolution Ave and visited the infamous Trump's wall at the beach. Then we headed to Rosarito for ATV's and horse back riding and we tried local ceviche tostadas. Amazing!! We even spent some time at a Mexican wedding celebration and danced Quebradita! Then we headed to Puerto Nuevo for delicious lobster with margaritas while enjoying live Mariachi music. Our group of ten were able to go behind the scenes at the fish market and even made flour tortillas ourselves. By far, Mario's tours are the best and most unique tours. He will take care of all the details and he will run the tour for your group as smooth and safe as no one else. I highly recommend Mario and Baja California Wine Tours. We already booked the cheese tasting tour with Mario for next weekend!! Gracias amigo!!

Very informative and committed
i heard that 4 tourists had their tour cancelled at the last minute due to insufficient numbers. Mario jumped in at the last minute and saved their day.
i had the same experience with Mario as two people cancelled and even though I was the only person he still went ahead. Thanks Mario. Mario is very knowledgeable of the Mexican wine region, knew the Owners of each vineyard we visited (I met one too) and was a great asset in making my trip memorable.

Best tour guide, Excelent wine!
Mario again has proven that he is the best guide out there for any tour in the Guadalupe Valley. As a second time customer of his company, I can recommend his tours and service without hesitation. This time we visited three different wineries and a new restaurant which specializes in BajaMed cuisine and excellent organic food on the grill. Mario took care of all the details and made sure our group was attended at all times. Even though this time we went on a public tour and we were joined by another eight people, we felt as if our tour was a private one. Mario is attentive, funny and professional. Very knowledgeable of the valley and he is well known by everyone. I would not go with any other company to visit Baja. Mario is the best of the best. We look forward to doing a third tour with Mario and Baja California Wine Tours.
