This tour has it all!! Great for kids and the whole family! Let us take you on a great adventure to the country side of Tecate.
We'll drive for 1 hour among the mountains of Baja, east of Valle de Guadalupe and take you to an amazing private ranch "Rancho Tecate". Once there, a number of different outdoor adventures await you! Try zip lining across the lake, do some hiking and mountain biking, swim or row in a canoe. Full SPA service also available if you just want to disconnect yourself from the world. Get a massage, a facial or hot stone treatment while drinking wine and eating cheese. Lunch is served outdoors so you can enjoy an equestrian show by the Andalusian and Arabian horses. Lunch includes juice cuts of steak and pork on the grill, lots of organic vegetables and amazing desserts. After the outdoor activities and lunch, we will let you try the best craft beer in the region and do some tequila and mezcal tastings. The whole experience can be done in a day but if you want to take it slow, ask about our “Rancho Tecate” overnight stay package.

Visit the town of Tecate (main plaza, downtown and cerveceria Tecate).

11:30 am
Arrival at "Rancho Tecate" for a full tour of the facilities.

12:30 pm
Start outdoor adventures. Your chance to try zip lining, horseback riding, canoe rowing, biking, hiking or whatever makes you tick!!

You will be picked up at your location of preference and driven south across the border without having to get out of the transport. Once in Mexico, you will enjoy an easy one hour drive along the Pacific Scenic route towards Ensenada. During whale season you can actually spot a few whales along the way! Sufficient restroom stops if necessary. Once in Ensenada, we’ll go east for ten more minutes into wine country! By 11am you will be enjoying delicious reserve wine from Valle de Guadalupe!
You will visit three boutique wineries with wine tastings included, get a tour of the winemaking process and enjoy a delicious BajaMed, five course, lunch at Finca Altozano by famous chef Javier Plascencia.
This is a private tour aboard a luxury 6-14 passenger van with air conditioning and reclining seats. Only the people from your party will come along in your transport. No strangers! Plenty of legroom and free bottles of drinking water will be provided to each passenger! You are also welcome to bring your own drinks too (no large ice boxes).

Beyond our expectations
It gives me pleasure to write these word to recommend Mario as the best tour guide we ever had. Mario is extremely pleasant, professional, knowledgeable, and made our tour one of the most delightful we ever had. We learned so much about the history of the area, Wineand food culture. I travel all over the world and I must say I saw the most beautiful bar in the most unique corner off Baja with the most beautiful views called Bar Bura. Everyone should make it as a new world destination. We never got tired because Mario was pleasant and made us so happy. I am proud of sharing this experience in all social media. Day trip to Tijuana Mexico
One of the most enjoyable days that I have had in my 6 1/2 weeks in America. Mario was ever so informative and we went to numerous interesting places. He would have to be a number one tour guide. I have done many tours and been to many places but I have not experienced such an amazing day as my day in Mexico. It is all so colourful and the taco’s and Caesar salad are so yummy, too. I would recommend doing a tour with Baya. California Wine Tours. There are a great variety of tours.

More to the tour than just wine!
Our family of five thoroughly enjoyed this trip. Mario made it interesting and informative. He is an insider, full of information and local contacts. He never does the same trip twice. With our small group, he was easily flexible in slight modifications to his itinerary. Lunch was a four course meal with all the local flavor. We particularly enjoyed the vistas and back stories about the area. The wineries all offered a wonderful and relaxing experience.

Wine Country and More
Based on our questions, Mario took the time to show some of the sights between the border at Tijuana and the wine country in Valle Guadalupe. We saw the Brotherhood Park where the border meets the Pacific Ocean, and we stopped at an amazing cheese factory as we entered the wine country. Terrific insight, great knowledge, and a superb host. The variety of wines and bodegas showed the diverse establishments to see in the area.

Great Custom Trip Down the Baja Coast!
Mario was great guide and was extremely accommodating to our group. My parents were visiting San Diego and I called Mario the day prior to book a tour. He created a custom itinerary and picked us up close to home. We packed a bunch of stops into 1 day in Baja including Las Playas, Rosarito, Puerto Nuevo and downtown Tijuana. We were back across the border in Sand Diego before 6 PM and Mario dropped us off at my parents' condo. All in all, a great experience. Mario is extremely knowledgable of the area and was a savvy driver. I highly recommend him if you are considering a day trip to Baja.

Amazing tour and service
Mario delivered a very personal and professional experience for our Puerto Nuevo Lobster tour. Great tour, with a variety of stops, and amazing, authentic Mexican food, all included in the price. Took my mother and our friend, they both loved the experience and day with Mario. Highly recommend Baja California Wine Tours, would assume that all tours offered deliver the same high level of service and personal touch.

Baja California Tour
This is the best tour we did out of San Diego and perhaps one of the best tours we've had on any of our travels. Mario is very knowledgeable about the art, history and culture of the area and had a great day planned for us but was also flexible with the itinerary to make sure we did whatever we wanted. This tour definitely has the WOW factor.

The BEST in service and attention to detail for your travels to Baja California
We had a perfect day in Mexico with Mario and his company, Baja California Wine Tours. Mario went above and beyond to arrange an amazing day for me and my friend. I drove to the wrong location in the morning, and Mario came and picked us up at the lot we were parked in, even though it was out of his way. He was also extremely flexible and helpful, for example, making extra bathroom stops and finding a place for us to purchase items we had forgotten. We drove in comfort down to the border, crossed over, and continued along the scenic coastal road to Ensenada. We stopped at a view point to use the bathroom and have a stretch, before continuing on the the Valle de Guadalupe. We stopped in a three wineries and had lunch. We loved enjoying wine in the beautiful Mexican countryside. We were also given a chance to learn about the vineyards and vinification processes. We stopped in the gorgeous winery Decantos to enjoy the amazing views, plus wine and cheese. Then we took a winery tour and tasting at Baron Balche, and lunch at Tahal. We ended the day at the very hip Case de Frida. A perfect day in Valle de Guadalupe. Book with Mario for a safe way to enjoy the best of Baja California!
