This tour has it all!! Great for kids and the whole family! Let us take you on a great adventure to the country side of Tecate.
We'll drive for 1 hour among the mountains of Baja, east of Valle de Guadalupe and take you to an amazing private ranch "Rancho Tecate". Once there, a number of different outdoor adventures await you! Try zip lining across the lake, do some hiking and mountain biking, swim or row in a canoe. Full SPA service also available if you just want to disconnect yourself from the world. Get a massage, a facial or hot stone treatment while drinking wine and eating cheese. Lunch is served outdoors so you can enjoy an equestrian show by the Andalusian and Arabian horses. Lunch includes juice cuts of steak and pork on the grill, lots of organic vegetables and amazing desserts. After the outdoor activities and lunch, we will let you try the best craft beer in the region and do some tequila and mezcal tastings. The whole experience can be done in a day but if you want to take it slow, ask about our “Rancho Tecate” overnight stay package.

Cross the border into Mexico via Tecate/Campo east of San Diego.
10:30 am
Visit the town of Tecate (main plaza, downtown and cerveceria Tecate).
11:30 am
Arrival at "Rancho Tecate" for a full tour of the facilities.
12:30 pm
Start outdoor adventures. Your chance to try zip lining, horseback riding, canoe rowing, biking, hiking or whatever makes you tick!!

You will be picked up at your location of preference and driven south across the border without having to get out of the transport. Once in Mexico, you will enjoy an easy one hour drive along the Pacific Scenic route towards Ensenada. During whale season you can actually spot a few whales along the way! Sufficient restroom stops if necessary. Once in Ensenada, we’ll go east for ten more minutes into wine country! By 11am you will be enjoying delicious reserve wine from Valle de Guadalupe!
You will visit three boutique wineries with wine tastings included, get a tour of the winemaking process and enjoy a delicious BajaMed, five course, lunch at Finca Altozano by famous chef Javier Plascencia.
This is a private tour aboard a luxury 6-14 passenger van with air conditioning and reclining seats. Only the people from your party will come along in your transport. No strangers! Plenty of legroom and free bottles of drinking water will be provided to each passenger! You are also welcome to bring your own drinks too (no large ice boxes).

Mexico and Wineries - All New Respect
Very pleasantly surprised about this tour. The wineries were excellent (and quite beautiful), the lunch was fantastic (and huge...we took some home with us), and Mario was the perfect tour guide. I definitely recommend you try this tour.

Wine Tasting in Mexico
This was a great experience! we went to San Diego and MX for our friend's 30th bday. Mario was our planner and guide for the winery trip and transportation to Mexico and we couldn't have had a better guide! He chose the coolest wineries and lunch spot. Everything was beautiful, the wines were great and the food was delicious. He was so friendly and accommodating with our large group. We felt very well taken care of in his hands and he knows all the ways to make the trip fun, efficient, and pleasantly memorable experience. Next time we go wine tasting in Mexico, we refuse to do it without Mario and this experience!

This tour is without a doubt the easiest way to experience Valle de Guadalupe’s vineyards. Mario took all the guesswork out of deciding where to go, what to eat, and where to spend the night. We would redo this trip in a second!

Best trip to Valle yet!
Our trip to the Valley was absolutely amazing!!! Mario was the best guide and took us to the most beautiful Vineyards! The wine, food, travel, and hospitality were phenomenal. This was not my first trip to the Valle and our private tour with Mario was the best one we've experienced. Well definitely be back and highly recommend Mario and Baja California Wine Tours!

#1 For A Reason
As a family visiting Mexico for the first, we were really unsure what to expect, but Mario's tour made for an amazing experience. Having a knowledgable guide like Mario when visiting the Tijuana Cultural Center and the border really made all the difference to understanding the history of Mexico. The lobster lunch was delicious with a wonderful view and private table. Crossing the border into Mexico and traveling back into the US was seamless. I don't think we could have asked for anything else Thanks Mario for an awesome trip!

Fun in the Sun w/ Wine & Mario!
Had a wonderful day with Mario/Baja California Wine Tours. On the ride from San Diego to the valley, he provided local points of interest and historical references. He clearly knows his way around the area and we encountered friendly sommeliers and salespeople at each stop. The outdoor restaurant had excellent food (definitely try the steak…and the bread was memorable) and a lovely view of the valley. Extra bonus - you can pet goats after your meal and grab a gelato! Thank you Mario, for putting up with the giggly pair of us and we hope to get back down for a sailing adventure soon!

Best Way to Spend the Day in Valle de Guadalupe!
From start to finish, what a great experience. I can’t say enough good things about our host, Mario, and the itinerary he selected for us. Three beautiful wineries, a fantastic meal, and even an impromptu stop at a cheese shop. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a relaxing and fun way to enjoy all that beautiful Valle de Guadalupe has to offer!!

No planning required!
I loved that this was such a relaxing trip, and Mario was thorough and very helpful in explaining about each winery and important part of the trip. My friend and I booked this tour, showed up in SD for the trip, and Mario kept us feeling entertained and safe. We visited Villa Montefiori, Baron Balche, lunch at Finca Altozano, and Viñas de Liceaga. At the second winery, we had a cheese plate, and lunch at the winery after that was fantastic. I would highly recommend this trip, just for the aspect of not having to plan and having a knowledgeable tour guide take us through the area.
The vans we used were very comfortable and new, and I appreciate that there were bathroom stops along the way. Would totally do this again!
