Wine Tasting Private Tour
This tour has it all!! Great for kids and the whole family! Let us take you on a great adventure to the country side of Tecate.
We'll drive for 1 hour among the mountains of Baja, east of Valle de Guadalupe and take you to an amazing private ranch "Rancho Tecate". Once there, a number of different outdoor adventures await you! Try zip lining across the lake, do some hiking and mountain biking, swim or row in a canoe. Full SPA service also available if you just want to disconnect yourself from the world. Get a massage, a facial or hot stone treatment while drinking wine and eating cheese. Lunch is served outdoors so you can enjoy an equestrian show by the Andalusian and Arabian horses. Lunch includes juice cuts of steak and pork on the grill, lots of organic vegetables and amazing desserts. After the outdoor activities and lunch, we will let you try the best craft beer in the region and do some tequila and mezcal tastings. The whole experience can be done in a day but if you want to take it slow, ask about our “Rancho Tecate” overnight stay package.

Pick up from San Diego (location to be determined by customer).

Cross the border into Mexico via Tecate/Campo east of San Diego.
10:30 am
Visit the town of Tecate (main plaza, downtown and cerveceria Tecate).
11:30 am
Arrival at "Rancho Tecate" for a full tour of the facilities.
12:30 pm
Start outdoor adventures. Your chance to try zip lining, horseback riding, canoe rowing, biking, hiking or whatever makes you tick!!
2:30 pm
Lunch outdoors (on the grill with organic vegetables) while enjoying an equestrian show.

You will be picked up at your location of preference and driven south across the border without having to get out of the transport. Once in Mexico, you will enjoy an easy one hour drive along the Pacific Scenic route towards Ensenada. During whale season you can actually spot a few whales along the way! Sufficient restroom stops if necessary. Once in Ensenada, we’ll go east for ten more minutes into wine country! By 11am you will be enjoying delicious reserve wine from Valle de Guadalupe!
You will visit three boutique wineries with wine tastings included, get a tour of the winemaking process and enjoy a delicious BajaMed, five course, lunch at Finca Altozano by famous chef Javier Plascencia.
This is a private tour aboard a luxury 6-14 passenger van with air conditioning and reclining seats. Only the people from your party will come along in your transport. No strangers! Plenty of legroom and free bottles of drinking water will be provided to each passenger! You are also welcome to bring your own drinks too (no large ice boxes).

Bachelorette Trip
10 of us went on this wine tour with Mario for a bachelorette trip. We had SO much fun, would definitely recommend! The views at the wineries were so beautiful, and Mario made sure to pick upbeat, fun places per our request. We really enjoyed the lunch at finca, and went to frida as a last stop for some tequila and dancing. We felt very safe and had an unforgettable trip!

Now we have fulfilled a long held dream
We took the Trolley from Santee to Old Town where we were greeted by Mario and Rene. Since there were only three more participants we joined Rene for our adventure south. What a fun and rewarding experience. Not only is Rene a great driver, he can sing and play the piano, and guitar. We were treated to those talents at Martlot Winery, and (singing) on the way back to San Diego. It was super hot in V. de Guadalupe (up to 105F) but the wineries provided the wines in ice buckets. Much appreciated. Our fellow participants were all happy and super easy to get along with. Rene made sure everyone was safe and involved in the conversations.
Our tour started at Montefiore, where we met the owner Paolo Paoloni. Super charming and knowledgeable guy. The wines were so good I have since ordered a mixed case, and am looking forward to sharing with friends. Next: Decanto where we had a cheese platter in addition to very good wines. Then lunch at Finca Altozano. Excellent food and service.
Since the company pays extra to go in the fast lane at the border our trip home was a breeze. It helped that the CBP officer was super friendly and teasing Rene.
For us this was a great experience and definitely to be repeated.

The Joys of the Valle of Guadalupe with Mario! 😃
What a beautiful breezy day wine tasting with Mario, our driver and guide. We visited Hilo Negro, Decantos & Casa Magoni, all delightful wineries. 🍷 A hassle free way to visit the “Napa Valley of Mexico”. Mario picked us up in San Diego, drove us across the border along the coast of Baja California and meandered through the vineyards of the Valle de Guadalupe. We had lunch at Finca Altozano, from the acclaimed chef Javier Plascencia. Mario was engaging, knowledgeable and made sure we all had an enjoyable time. We will definitely come back! You will be cheerfully surprised! 😍

Valle de Guadalupe: Fantastic 3 Night Adventure
We had an amazing time during our 3 night adventure in the Valle de Guadalupe. Mario was very patient with me during our planning process to create a fun-filled itinerary that included visits to the Rosario Beach Hotel, Puerto Nuevo, beautiful wineries and restaurants in the Valle, cheese tasting at the Cava de Marcelo, and Cuatro Cuatros. I really appreciated how flexible and accommodating Mario was during our trip. He is so knowledgeable about the area, always sharing interesting tidbits, and very personable. We had a memorable and safe trip to Baja. Thank you Mario!

Wonderful experience wine tasting in Mexico
One of the best wine tasting experiences ever! It was so fun seeing all the wineries and making new friends. My husband booked this tour for my birthday because we wanted to try something other than NAPA. I highly recommend this tour. The nicest part is having your own driver because they are not shy about their pours. The food was delicious and our drivers made us feel safe. Our tour guide was hilarious and knew each winery well.

We went on the Guadalupe Valley Wine tour with various companies, and can I just say how blown away I was!? Our tour guide was amazing and knowledgeable, the wine was good, and the scenery was gorgeous. I have been recommending this tour to many friends since that day...hoping to try the tequila tour next!

History and the Wine
Trip coordinator Mario has the perfect touch. He knows a great deal about the history and geography of Baja California, as well as how the history and the climate of the region helped to create the wine industry in Valle de Guadalupe. The history is an important part of the entire experience. We truly appreciated Mario's effort to narrate the important facts, all the while safely driving us through the spectacular scenery of NW Mexico.

Fantastic Mexico excursion!!!
Rene is FANTASTIC!!! This was the best trip thanks to his knowledge and kindness what a great time! Fastest border crossing ever! Only 20 minutes to cross the border use them for that perk alone it’s worth gold! Highly recommend this company Mario & Rene are so FUN and accommodating what a great excursion felt so safe in their hands and look forward to doing the wine tasting tour with them next time!!!
