Fun exploring Baja California.
We had such an amazing trip with our friends. We visited some amazing wineries and restaurants.
The food was exceptional.
We did an unforgettable horseback riding over the hills with beautiful horses and a great guide.
Finally, all transfers were very safe and friendly.
I would definitely travel with Baja California Wine tours again.

Take the hassle out of planning
Mario is the BEST! He helped me plan a 3 day/2 night private multi-adventure trip for 18 ladies in Valle de Guadalupe. Mario pulled together the entire itinerary, made all of the reservations and basically made it so it was minimal effort on my part (as the main coordinator for the group).
He suggested a beautiful hotel, incredible wineries and delicious restaurants (including accommodating dietary restrictions), set up various activities (ziplining, horseback riding, hiking, dancing) and arranged transportation from San Diego into the valley and throughout the entire trip. He patiently kept us on time for each reservation, was flexible with our group and an absolute pleasure to work with. He took all of the hassle out of planning an international trip.
In addition, Mario made us feel safe on the trip and we never felt there were any "surprises". He is honest, and EXTREMELY knowledgeable. I would highly recommend working with Mario whether with a large group OR small group.

Great Experience
We had an amazing time on Mario's tour! It was a very seamless trip down as we were able to be picked up at our house, crossed the border pretty quickly both on the way down and back up, and made it to all 6 winery stops with no complications. We did run into a bit of holiday traffic on the way back to the US, but we didn't have to wait in a 4 hr line, which we were very grateful for. I liked that our trip was customized to include very different styles of wineries on our two day trip and both lunch spots chosen were so delicious. I liked that he and Renee were very knowledgable about all the different wineries and the history of valle. I would definitely recommend booking with Mario and we will definitely be open to going back to Valle with him or booking another one of his tours to an additional location.

Fun trip with friends at the wineries!
Me and my friends signed up for the "Public Wine Tour - Valle De Guadalupe" even though it was not a shuttle it was a van it was perfectly safe and had an amazing time! Our Driver Rene was super friendly, responsible and safe driver. We were in good hands and 4 women. it was a fun and adventurous trip with girlfriends, even though when visiting most of these spot it was mainly women. I love that they already had a itinerary planned, with being a first timer and not knowing where to start this was perfect. It may seem like a few locations but honestly 4 wineries with a 5 course meal took up the whole day more than enough to see. The restaurant's food was spectacular each bowl was cleaned out! 100% recommend to anyone wishing to visit!

Well-planned and thoughtful guide
We felt like we were in good hands with Mario! He asked for any input before he planned our day, and made sure to include our requests for the specific wineries. Each winery was a little different, which made it fun. The drive from/back to San Diego was easy. We had a blast!

A Superb Day Trip to Mexico's Wine Region
I went on a private wine tour to the Guadalupe Valley from San Diego for a bachelorette party. Mario, the tour guide and organizer, was wonderful! Everything was on time, comfortable, and professional. Each stop of the wine tour was perfectly timed and planned. We stopped for brunch, then did wine tastings at two different wineries, and finished with an amazing dinner at a final winery. The food and wine at every place we visited was delicious. Mario was great at giving us space during our meals and tasting, while still checking in and keeping us on time when it was necessary. He took great pictures of our group throughout the day, and followed up promptly after the tour. Mario was very communicative about the border crossing, which went very smoothly. The entire trip was fun, relaxed, and luxurious for our entire group, and we felt like we could really enjoy celebrating the bride-to-be on her special day. I would not hesitate to work with Mario on another trip to Mexico from the US, and I highly recommend his services to anyone looking for an extremely well-planned, fun, and relaxing trip to Mexico.

Wonderful tour of Valle with great wines, food and friends!
Mario picked us up at our house at 9 am; we traveled down to the border in a standard mini-van, but once across, switched to a luxury van with plush seats, air conditioning, and could play our own music on their sound system.
We enjoyed wine-tasting at 3 amazing wineries -- (1) Lechuza, by the vineyard, one of our favorites; LOVE their Amantes, and the grilled shrimp quesadillas we decided to order; (2) Casa Magoni (under a gorgeous 500-year oak tree with a band playing and cheese platter, and (3) Adobe Guadalupe - another favorite. We had a delicious 4-course lunch at renowned Chef Javier Placentia's Finca Altozano, with fresh garden salad, octopus, vegetable risotto (surprisingly delish), and lamb tacos with all the fixins. We ordered some cocktails and local Valle wines, and thoroughly enjoyed our time.
Mario was very organized, knowledgeable, expert at keeping our group on schedule, while still being friendly, and pointing out the sites and fun facts. Border crossing back was a breeze. I absolutely recommend Mario and Baja California Wine Tours, and look forward to my next Baja visit! If you are looking for a wine-tasting trip down to Valle de Guadalupe with minimal work on your part - just book Mario at Baja California Wine Tours, and let him do the rest! Our friends booked him last August for their 20th anniversary trip to Valle, and we booked him this August for our 30th anniversary. Lots of options available: one day public wine tour, one day private wine tour: 6-14 people, or you can even book an overnight stay in Valle. We booked the private day tour, had 9 people, and it was a wonderful, memorable trip w/ great wines, great food, beautiful scenery and great time w/ friends and family.
